Hanna Ahdin sekä Maija Mustosen ja Anna Torkkelin uusi teos Feel (15.-17.2.2019 @Kutomo, Turku) on tanssi sisäisestä, ulkoisesta, välisyyksistä ja läpäisevyydestä. Teos tarkastelee tanssin tulemista kehoon ja tilaan sekä tuntemuksia, jotka liikuttavat tanssille tarkoitetussa tilassa oleskelevaa esiintyjää. Feel lihallistaa ytimessä syntyvää, saattaa sisätilaa näkyväksi ja antaa aistimusten muokata kehon pintaa. Tekijöiden haluna on kuunnella, antautua, tanssia. Olla pinnoittamaton ja peittelemätön, antautunut ja avoin.

Feel rakentuu työryhmän yhteistyönä. Tekijät ovat työskennelleet yhdessä vuosia, ja tuttuus tukee teoksen työskentelyn lähtökohtia hierarkioiden ja valta-asetelmien vääntämisestä ja levähdyttämisestä. Työtapa antaa tekijöille mahdollisuuden myös keskinäiseen tukeen ja nojaan, dialogiin ja erimielisyyksiin sekä katsojan asemaan asettumiseen.

Hanna Ahti’s, Maija Mustonen’s and Anna Torkkel’s new work Feel is a dance growing from the interior, exterior, in-betweenness and permeability; feelings and senses suggesting movement and vice versa. The piece observes the come-into-beings of dance and body while staying or placing one self in a space meant for dance. Feel enfleshes what originates in the core, brings the embedded visible and allows the feelings shape the surface of the body. The makers’ desire is to exist uncoated and revealed, sensitive and open.

Feel is a collaboration between artists who have been working together for years in many other projects. The familiarity of the people involved makes it natural to shape ways of working that initially relax, stretch and bend hierarchies and power positions. At the same time the working method enables support, dialogue and disagreement as well as being able to place one self into the position as a viewer.
